Scramble

Pick the best shot. Do it again.

4 (one team) · Team · Beginner-Friendly

The Basics

All four players hit from the same spot each time. After every shot, the team picks the best one, and everyone plays their next shot from that spot.

How to Play

Everyone tees off. Pick the best drive. Everyone hits their second shot from there. Pick the best one again. Repeat until the ball is in the hole. One team score per hole.

Scoring

One score per hole for the whole team. Very low scores are common.

Strategy Tips

Scramble is the most forgiving format — great for mixed skill levels. Put your longest driver first to take pressure off. On putts, have the worst putter go first to show the line.

Variations

"Texas Scramble" requires using at least 4 drives from each player during the round. Some scrambles require 2 drives per player minimum.
